Lately I have found myself in a bit of a concert slump. Nothing really amazing has been to Vancouver over the last few weeks. Well that is all about to change, starting tomorrow night. The turning point of this lull starts with those Portland indie rockers known as The Decemberists. They will be playing the Malkin Bowl (wicked). From what I have seen this will be glorious.
These musicians have a history of playing amazing eclectic shows. Epic contributions to live music that leave their audiences flabbergasted. Just to give you a little taste here is them doing a cover of Crazy On You (Heart):
They are awesome, I literally have no other words to use. The Decemberists have this ease in their style, this organic feel, and it just blows me away. I am really looking forward to seeing them play, especially outdoors. So if you want to go see a great show, you should seek tickets for this immediately. Get on the interweb, get on the phone, jump in a cab and go to the nearest Ticketmaster outlet. Do what you need to, to secure these tickets. This will be memorable to say the least. Gawd, I live the Decemberists. The show is at Malkin Bowl August 23rd, 20111 at 5:30 pm (The Decemberists ticket link) , you better be there.
