New Music: 21 by Adele

Yesterday a great album was released to the ravenous music community, 21 by Adele. This album is a powerful, emotional masterpiece. A must for those who love sultry sexy vocals, with simple, yet rich orchestral backdrops. Each song explodes with an intense passionate poetry that will have your arms scattered with goosebumps.

Playing through the album in its entirety 3 times in a row, was enough to give me a real deep feel for the painful tones in most of the songs. The pieces speak of love lost and of a true broken heart. Adele questions it all. May it be a truly jealous piece like “Set Fire To The Rain” or a painful yearning as in “Don’t You Remember”, she explores every aspect of a shattered relationship.

The vocals are exquisite, even for Adele. She really took this up another level from her debut LP, “19“. This compendium has a great attitude about it, yet at the same time shows off a certain vulnerability that gives you insight into the singers past. Her tenderness and sweet delivery add up to a perfect showing. This album will console you through hard times, then pick you up and dust you off.

No matter the style of music you are into, I guarantee you will appreciate this compilation. Adele’s voice is ravishingly seductive. You feel her story, and you can empathize with her. Her upcoming show at the Commodore Ballroom on May 31st, is a must see (more info). She will be selling out arenas in no time, its time to see her when she is fighting, when she is still relatively green. Although the show is sold out you can still pray for some tickets to get dropped, keep checking ticketmaster and maybe you will get lucky – buy tickets.
