Interpol Still Going Strong

From time to time there is a band that truly stands out. A band that beyond all others, produces amazing music that not only speaks to you on a here-and-now kind of level but that stands the test of time. One such band of this caliber is Interpol. Their specific sound is haunting and consuming. Patching together various forms of indie and punk with a hint of psychedelic rock. More notably they new sound is the creation of rich moods and elaborate organic auditory textures that captivate your mind and envelope your soul in pure emotion. They are true masters of music. One of their newest songs is All Of The Way, here is a video.

Our city will play host to one of their epic concerts, and it is, as you might have guessed, a must see. They will be headlining at the Orpheum Theater on January 27th (BUY TICKETS). So get out there and see Paul, Sam and Daniel, put on what should be one of the greatest shows in Vancouver of 2011.

The most recent album, the self titled Interpol, is more introspective and shows a greater depth than the past albums. The growth of the band is huge, and they keep pulling all the stops to put forth impressive sounds showing great maturity. The one thing that can be said for them, is they are not done yet, they have more steam in the tanks. So get off your chair, find a computer and buy tickets, it will be an amazing show. No matter the mix of the set list you will be thoroughly impressed with any gathering of new and old material they can come up with.
