Bands To Watch: Part 3

Yet again we will dive into a section that is fast becoming one of my favorites. A brief look into a few bands that are just under the radar. With the world of music pushing out reunion concerts by the boat load, its refreshing to see what is happening on the other end of the spectrum. In no particular order here are 5 bands to check out:

A trio from Montreal with a laid back, 60s jam feel. Their live shows have people talking for weeks. Expect big things from these guys, they are strong and soulful. Take a listen, and get lost in its intoxication. BUY TICKETS to their Commodore Ballroom appearance on May 5th

1183 320x240 4311 197842020570 715415570 6939287 1052530 n Bands To Watch: Part 3 Concert Addicts Said The Whale
This quintet is stirring a big buzz in the Northwest. With such anthems as Camilo, hitting enough of that catchy edge, they have a great sound. Almost a poppy rock with that Montreal tweak, they definitely represent that indie influence. Look forward to many great albums by this band, they are a must see. BUY TICKETS to their Commodore Ballroom appearance on May 5th

1181 320x240 n715415570 4173109 2458 Bands To Watch: Part 3 Concert Addicts LIARS
Originally lumped in with the New York Dance-Punk scene they quickly grew into a new monster altogether. This three piece is constantly growing their rhythmic styles with organic musical textures. A high pace, treble rich style with technical precision, and a very dark social underbelly twist, with a lot of power. BUY TICKETS to their April 30th show at Venue

1184 320x240 4311 197842035570 715415570 6939289 832097 n Bands To Watch: Part 3 Concert Addicts Turin Brakes
A folk duo hailing from London. They have a soft Simon and Garfunkel tone, lined with strong lyrics, and an ability to power out hauntingly delicious vocals. The group is building a great series of reviews and should be high on your list to check out. BUY TICKETS to their show at Venue on May 9th

1180 320x240 n715415570 4173108 2068 Bands To Watch: Part 3 Concert Addicts Frightened Rabbit
Another quintet, this time originating from Scotland. They have and strong indie pull and their raw lyrics are amazing. An interweaving of keyboard, rhythmic guitars and passionate aggressive vocals make for something that is a must listen. BUY TICKETS to their show at the Biltmore Cabaret on May 15th

Happy Concerting

"With a love for live music, way too much to say and inability to put down his camera , photojournalism was a logical step in his journey. Concert Addicts was born from a desire to express his opinion, share his photography, and share knowledge. Now the community is no longer his, it is ours."
